AAS was firstly published in 1962. Her predecessors were Chinese Journal of Agricultural Research started in 1950 and Acta Agriculturae Sinica started in 1952. As one of the key scientific journals in China, AAS has been financially supported by China Association for Science and Technology since 1997 and the National Natural Science Foundation of China since 2000.
